Indiana’s high-flying freshman is the best recruit to arrive in Bloomington since Eric Gordon in 2007. It’s no accident, Indiana’s inability to consistently bring in high-end recruits has coincided with the team’s recent struggles. The Hoosiers have failed to make the NCAA tournament in six of the last 10 seasons.
Indiana fans are hoping Langord’s arrival will mean a change in fortunes. The silky smooth 6-foot-6 wingman has the tools to make an immediate impact in what could be his only season in Bloomington. Langford is an explosive athlete with a sweet shooting stroke. He’s already averaging 15.5 points after Indiana’s first two games.
