Following her 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) victory over France’s Kristina Mladenovic in the third round of Wimbledon at the All England Club on Friday, Williams, who is one Grand Slam title away from tying Margaret Court with the most ever at 24, was asked if she had a problem with always being the one to beat. The question came from Jamie Johnson from The Telegraph. Serena credited the pressure for making her great.

Williams plays Russia’s Evgeniya Rodina, tomorrow morning in the fourth round. Rodina, 29, is also a mother. She has a 5-year-old daughter.
