Former hockey star and current hockey analyst P.K. Subban has agreed to a new multiyear deal with his current employer, ESPN.
Subban’s new deal will enable the 3x NHL All-Star to continue bringing hockey fans coverage of the sport “across ESPN platforms,” including The Point, the network’s NHL studio show, and other programming such as Get Up, First Take and The Pat McAfee Show.
Subban played in the league for 13 years with the Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators and New Jersey Devils, retiring in 2022 after his final NHL game with the Devils.
He then signed a three-year deal as a full-time studio analyst with ESPN, and has become the network’s most consistent voice on everything hockey.
This was evident during ESPN’s coverage of the 4-Nations Face-Off event, which replaced the league’s All-Star game format and delivered massive ratings for the network.
Subban has risen to become a champion for the sport on ESPN, and now he gets to continue that role for the next few years.
