” ‘Stand Your Ground’ has no place in civilized society,” said Gillum, who is running for governor. “It allows for vigilantes under cover of law to go out and having hunting season on our children. ‘Stand Your Ground’ has to go!”
Gillum faces former Miami Mayor Phillip Levine and five other candidates in the Florida primary on August 28th for the Democratic nomination. Rick DeSantis, who has Donald Trump’s endorsement, is running against Bob White, Adam Putnam and five other candidates on the Republican side.
