The Hub’s Entertainment Watch List: Love & Marriage Huntsville

Many fans of reality television would not expect to strike television gold in the city of Huntsville,  Alabama but the crew behind OWN’s “Love & Marriage Huntsville” was able to successfully draw viewers into the lives of each couple. Love & Marriage Huntsville is concluding its fifth season and shows no signs of slowing down.

The series debuted in January 2019 and is produced by Kingdom Reign Entertainment for ITV America. Carlos King – the man behind top-rated seasons of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, R&B Divas, the Next 15 and a variety of other shows – serves as an executive producer of the series. King takes a more visible role within the show as the host of the reunion episodes in the later seasons. Gil Lopez and Andrew Hoagland are also executive producers of the series.

Fans are given an inside look into the lives of three African-American couples who joined forces to revitalize the city through their joint real estate venture, The Comeback Group. During season one, viewers were introduced to Martell and Melody Holt, Marsau and Latisha Scott, and Kimmi and Maurice Scott. The three couples were longtime friends and popular socialites around the city who shared a similar interest in real estate and a passion for community building.

Throughout the different seasons, viewers are able to get to know each of the cast members and connect with their stories. The couples are faced with divorces, health challenges, rumors of infidelity and a wide array of other problems. As the series progresses, a new couple – Tiffany and Louis, the Whitlows – is introduced as well as a few friends of the cast, Stormi Steele and Destiny Payton.

Love & Marriage Huntsville is available for viewers to watch free on OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) with a cable subscription as well as Hulu, Discovery+ and Amazon Prime. Season five is coming to a close with the final installment of the reunion expected to air on January 14, however, fans can rejoice as it has already been confirmed that the series will return for a new season.
