There are plenty of beneficial reasons to hire an accountability coach.
However, in this article, we will highlight the three which have been found to be amongst the most advantageous benefits of hiring an accountability coach in my experience.
Procrastination is known as a sure way for someone to sabotage their own success and is behind a great many people not reaching their potential. Overcoming procrastination is reason enough to hire an accountability coach or engage with an accountability partner.
Along with increasing levels of frustration, anxiety and stress, procrastination has plagued the best of us with the most promising potential.
An accountability coach helps you get out of your way.
Most times, the perceived challenge has various solutions, but sometimes, when it’s “your” problem, it seems more significant than what it actually is. We may find ourselves with answers and strategies for everyone’s challenges, problems and how to reach their goals but are stuck ourselves.
Having a person dedicated to helping you take small, effective steps is one of the approaches to overcoming procrastination and staying the course. It’s amazing how procrastination can melt away by taking small, consistent steps.
Accomplishing goals is another great benefit and almost an automated by-product of eliminating procrastination.
Having an accountability coach who is both flexible and accountable can encourage and help keep you on track to accomplish your goals. Still, establishing systems that ensure lasting success in whatever direction you aim to make progress in life is even more important than goals being achieved.
“Goals are about the results you want to achieve. Systems are about the process that lead to those results,”- James Clear, author of Atomic Habits.
The systems you set up to maintain a healthy life are far more importanr than just the goal of losing 50 pounds. Goals ensure the success of a destination, and systems ensure success for the entire journey. Nonetheless, both go hand in hand, and an accountability coach can help you balance them both and optimize your efforts.
Last but not least is “peace of mind.”
Working with an accountability coach, if the coach is effective and you are dedicated to showing up and doing the work, can produce peace of mind.
Accomplishing your goals has health benefits and improves your mood when you’re living in your purpose and seeing progress. Our brains are wired to produce chemicals that enhance our moods when we’re progressing towards our goals and following systems that we know and feel are fulfilling our purpose and accomplishing what we set out to do.
Ultimately an accountability coach is to be the strategist, positive reinforcement, a source of encouragement and a mirror to remind you of what you set out to do.
However, an accountability coach can only succeed if you do the most important part and show up to be accounted for
