Fellow rapper 50 Cent is also making waves in the film industry after recently announcing that he purchased a space for his company, G-Unit Film and TV. The rapper has shown that his talents expand beyond the music industry through his popular shows and he revealed on Saturday that he purchased a 985,000 sq. ft. space for his film company.  50 Cent has helped to bring shows including Power, BMF, Hip-Hop Homicides and For Life to viewing audiences.

Congratulations are also in order for the singer and actress CoCo Jones. The multi-talented artist announced that she was “so grateful and appreciative” for having her first sold-out show in Los Angeles over the weekend. She first rose to popularity as an actress in the Disney Channel film, Let It Shine, and has since landed more roles in shows such as the Bel-Air reboot. In addition to her work as an actress, she has developed a strong base that supports her singing career as well.

Basketball star Kevin Durant and Nike also shared some good news with the announcement of a new lifetime contract deal. The Phoenix Suns forward signed a lifetime contract with Nike on Friday, according to Boardroom which is a media platform he co-owns. He joins Michael Jordan and LeBron James to become only the third basketball star to have a lifetime deal with the company. Durant’s relationship with Nike dates back to 2007 and over the course of their partnership, he has released 15 signature shoes and is expecting a new arrival. According to Boardroom, this lifetime partnership will consist of footwear, apparel, and collaborations focused on grassroots basketball.

Reality television stars Monique Robinson and Derek Warner are embarking on a lifetime deal of their own. The couple stirred up social media users over the weekend after they went public about their engagement. While making the announcement, Monique noted that “many don’t understand our love but it’s not for everyone to understand.” The two are breakout stars on the WE tv shows Love After Lockup and Life After Lockup. Monique says the duo has been engaged since February 19, which marked their 3-year anniversary.
