The Weekend Entertainment Recap: March 20th

The weekend kicked off with a mysterious sky display captured by R&B singer Ashanti. The former Murder Inc. singer shared a video on her Instagram story of an object lighting up the sky while she was in Sacramento, California, Friday night.

Ashanti posted the video with the comment, “Oooommmgggg!!! We saw this in the middle of filming out here in Sacramento!!! WTFFFFF.” The singer did not provide any additional details, nor has it been confirmed what exactly she captured on film. However, many fans jumped at the opportunity to speculate that it may have been an extraterrestrial sighting.

Although Ashanti’s video caught most of social media’s attention, celebrity hairstylist Jonathan Wright also shared news of a recent automobile accident he was involved in. The Columbus (Texas) Volunteer Fire Department says it was “dispatched to a major accident” and, upon arrival, saw that a “vehicle had rolled over and the occupant was ejected.” According to the volunteer fire department, Wright reported being hit by “an 18 wheeler which pushed him to the median.”

Officials added that he refused medical treatment. Fortunately, the hairstylist took to social media and let his supporters know that he was fine, minus the loss of his new wig truck.

Model, television personality and socialite Blac Chyna has been undergoing some major life changes. Blac Chyna, born Angela White, has been going through the process of reversing her cosmetic enhancements. She began the journey by removing her breast and butt implants and is now dissolving her facial fillers.

The 34-year-old model – originally from Washington, D.C. – took to social media saying, “enough is enough. It all has to come out.” She was spotted out for the first time without all of the enhancements at an event in Atlanta on Friday – looking just as good without the fillers and plastic surgery.

Female rap star, Megan Thee Stallion, spent her Saturday in Blac Chyna’s hometown of Washington, D.C. The Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris and Glamour co-hosted a brunch held at the VP’s residence to celebrate Women’s History Month.

In addition to the H-Town Hottie, other celebrity women, including Simone Ashley, Nicole Ari Parker and Phoebe Robinson, as well as former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, were invited to the brunch. The rapper showed off her black and blue assemble with a post to her fans on social media, and one photo even included Madam Vice President Harris.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell closed out the weekend with adorable pictures of her and her daughter in honor of mother’s day. The United Kingdom celebrated mother’s day on Sunday, March 19, although the day will not be celebrated until May 14 in the United States. The London native posted multiple photos with the caption “blessing” and several hearts. Campbell typically keeps details on her daughter private and made sure to cover her face from showing in several of the photos posted.

The model announced the birth of her daughter on social media with a photo that showed the newborn’s feet in May 2021. However, the post has since been deleted.
