Philadelphia DA Denies Trump’s Claims of Election Fraud

A Philadelphia District Attorney recently rejected Donald Trump’s claims that there is election fraud in the city.

In a statement, DA Larry Krasner denounced the Republican nominee’s statement, alleging that the city, which is located in a key battleground state, is attempting to throw election results. On his social media site, Trump claimed that there was “massive cheating in Philadelphia.”

In response, Krasner said that there was no evidence proving that there were any issues in the city. Per CNN, the Philadelphia Police Department also did not report any issues that needed law enforcement assistance.

“The only talk about massive cheating has come from one of the candidates, Donald J. Trump. There is no factual basis whatsoever within law enforcement to support this wild allegation,” said Krasner in his statement. “We have invited complaints and allegations of improprieties all day. If Donald J. Trump has any facts to support his wild allegations, we want them now. Right now.”

Philadelphia is located in a long-contested battleground state. Pennsylvania, considered a swing state, holds approximately 19 electoral votes.

My response to Trump's unfounded allegation of cheating in Philly's general election:

Prior to Election night, Vice President Kamala Harris made her last appeal to voters. On Monday night, she traveled door to door, campaigning and meeting with potential voters.

After meeting with Pennsylvania residents, Harris held closing statements at a rally held in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

“We love our country. And when you love something, you fight for it,” Harris said to her supporters at the stroke of midnight per USA Today. “I do believe it is one of the highest forms of patriotism, of our expression of our love for our country, to then fight for its ideals and to fight to realize the promise of America.”

The vice president was joined by several notable figures who took the stage to endorse her for president.

Along with Will.i.am. Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, and the Roots, Lady Gaga performed in support of Harris, singing a rendition of “God Bless America.”

Media mogul Oprah Winfrey also took to the stage, urging people to go out and vote.

“If you are watching or hearing me right now and you haven’t already, you have got to vote,” said Winfrey at the Harris rally. “And listen, I know that some of you are feeling burnt out and bruised and maybe inconsequential. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every single vote, everyone is going to matter.”
