Jamal Crawford had one of the nastiest crossovers the game has ever seen, and recently he’s made a successful crossover to broadcasting.
Crawford has appeared on ESPN, MSG and other networks both in studio and as an analyst during live game coverage. Now he’s joining NBC as a lead game analyst when the network begins its coverage of the league next season.

Crawford was selected 8th overall out of Michigan by the Cleveland Cavaliers but traded immediately to the Chicago Bulls. He then played in the league for 20 years with the Bulls, Knicks, Warriors, Hawks, Trailblazers, Clippers, Timberwolves, Suns and Nets before retiring in 2020. He was a three-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year.
He began his broadcasting career a year later with former teammate Quentin Richardson for NBA League Pass before joining TNT. After two seasons, he joined MSG this season to cover the Knicks for the network.
Now he’ll be joining NBC/Peacock when it restarts broadcasting NBA games in October 2025, a relationship that ended in 2002 when the NBA signed deals with Turner Sports and ESPN.

Per the release, Crawford will be calling one or more games a week on both the network and streaming platform.
Peacock will livestream exclusive national Monday night games while NBC/Peacock will present national coverage of regional doubleheaders on Tuesday nights. NBC Sports will launch Sunday Night Basketball in 2026 across NBC and Peacock, providing NBA fans with three consecutive nights of national coverage across NBCUniversal platforms during the second half of the regular season.
