LeBron Keeps Breaking NBA Records, This Time As An All-Star

LeBron’s assault on the NBA record books knows no deterrent.

Last February, LeBron broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s NBA scoring record of 38,387 points. It was an amazing feat for James, who first entered the league as a 17-year-old in 2003.

Since then, King James continued to show that despite his age, he’s still one the top players in the league.

Last night he showed it again when he was voted to his 20th All-Star Game, once again leapfrogging over Kareem to accomplish it.

By being named to the '23-'24 All-Star team, LeBron James becomes the first player in NBA history with 20 All-Star selections.

    And that's 20 straight, too.✊???????? pic.twitter.com/i8l4vKfajV

LeBron is now the first player in NBA history with 20 All-Star selections, and that’s 20 straight selections. The only year he missed the team was his rookie season where he still averaged an incredible 20.9 ppg, 5.9 apg and 5.5 rpg.

Over the last 20 seasons, LeBron has never averaged less than 24 ppg (24.8 this season at 39 years old). He also became a 19x All-NBA player, 4x NBA Champion, 4x NBA Finals MVP, 6x Defensive Player of the Year and the recipient of many other honors during his illustrious career.

Less than a year away from his 40th birthday, LeBron is showing no signs of slowing down. Not only has he set another record, but he will also be a starter for the Western Conference All-Stars.

If he continues on this pace for two more seasons, he’ll have a chance to become the oldest player in league history to make an All-Star team.

And that means he would pass Kareem again, who did it at 41.

    Congrats King James!
