Sophia Chang is the latest powerhouse to join SiriusXM’s Women’s Empowerment Network, spearheaded by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Karen Hunter, premiering her hot new podcast, “The Baddest Bitch in the Room.”
Chang is best known for managing legendary Wu-Tang Clan heavyweights RZA, GZA, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, alongside artists like D’Angelo, Raphael Saadiq, Q-Tip, and A Tribe Called Quest. Dubbed the first Asian woman in hip-hop, she made her name in an industry where women, particularly women of color, rarely held the power.
She’s bringing her no-filter approach to conversations about sex, relationships, money, power and ambition, tackling the pressures women face, the expectations they’re told to live up to and what it really takes to build a life on their own terms.
“I’ve thought about doing a podcast for over a decade but didn’t encounter the right home until Karen Hunter presented me with this unique opportunity,” Chang said via a press release.

Her résumé extends beyond platinum-selling artists. Chang founded Unlock Her Potential, which connects women of color with free mentorship, and leads Joey Bada$$’s ImpactMENtorship initiative.
