Ride-share and Ride Safe With ‘Black Wolf’

Ridesharing apps have become fairly popular amongst consumers with the rise of platforms such as Uber and Lyft. Individuals seeking a ride can utilize ridesharing apps to get them where they need to be, but it does not come with a safety guarantee. However, a rising Black-owned platform is disrupting the industry and giving customers an opportunity to ride with an armed protection driver.

Black Wolf is a private security company founded by Kerry KingBrown who has more than 20 years of training and dozens of clients served. He worked with celebrities including Chris Brown, DaBaby, Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Gucci Mane, T.I., Young Jeezy, Lil Kim, Chaka Khan and many more. KingBrown has even completed advanced Secret Service, Safety and Monitoring and K9 training. The entrepreneur created the platform to improve the quality of ridesharing apps and make the added protection affordable for clients of varying incomes.

Black Wolf is backed by Black Arrow Defense, and together the companies are able to provide unmatched protection with guns, armored plates, and tactical equipment. The company claims to “have mastered and created equipment, survival development, and tools needed for the principal and the community to ensure the safety of the people.” All drivers receive training from Black Arrow Defense and can double as bodyguards to customers. The first ride was hailed from Atlanta in May and KingBrown has plans for expansion. He is looking to provide his services in other cities including Los Angeles, Dallas and Miami.

The process for calling a ride is straightforward. Customers can pick their destination, choose between an armed or unarmed Executive Protection Driver and enjoy the ride. When compared to other options, riders may find Black Wolf to be more pricey but KingBrown says it’s not just about the ride. When riding with an armed driver, individuals are matched with someone who is former law enforcement, military or private security. Customers can expect the car to be equipped with cameras, a first aid kit near the passenger, walkie-talkies and a bullet-proof vest.

Individuals who would like to utilize the platform frequently can register to be a VIP Rider. The VIP rider program offers additional customer support, increased comfort and personalized service. Interested drivers can register with Black Wolf, but the individual must meet specific eligibility requirements.
