Odell Beckham didn’t take too much time to decide his next team of choice as he is heading west to the LA Rams.
A few days after Cleveland and Beckham ended their tortuous relationship, he cleared waivers and became a free agent.
Today the Rams swooped in and signed Odell to a one-year deal.
Rumors swirled that he was interested in the Packers, Rams and Saints, but LA won out in the end.
The talented receiver languished in Cleveland, posting career lows in receptions, yards and TDs.
He fought through multiple obstacles during his tenure with the Browns including injuries and a disastrous Freddie Kitchens-led team in 2019. A year later he tore his ACL and this season he hurt his shoulder and was essentially nonexistent.
Fans begged Cleveland to free Odell Beckham, even creating a #FreeOBJ hashtag.
The team finally granted the divorce and OBJ fans were relieved.
Ironically, Beckham’s decision falls on the same day that another popular free agent, Cam Newton, announced that he rejoined the Carolina Panthers, also on a one-year deal.
Cam’s path to success is cleared as Sam Darnold has proved to be who everyone said he was (bad) and P.J. Walker is still unproven.
But in LA, things are a little more crowded.
