RG3’s Teeth Wouldn’t Look So Bad If He Shut His Mouth

If Robert Griffin III’s hairline is any indication of what’s underneath it, then one can easily surmise that he’s never thinking straight. Griffin, who has himself talked about his love for “milk,” has once again proved that he is about as aware of Black cultural nuance as his Estonian wife. This week, Angel Reese became the face of the WNBA edition of 2K26. Amongst the congratulations, there was backlash that it was not Caitlin Clark. With that backlash also came the racism often exhibited by Clark’s fans towards Reese.

On one post, a picture of a monkey was put in place of Reese’s likeness. In a time where she should be celebrating this accomplishment, she is plagued with cyberbullying from men whose only interest in the WBNA is that it is another outlet for their misogynoir. In response to seeing this picture, ‘one of the good ones,’ Robert Griffin III calls himself coming to the defense of Reese, by screenshotting it and sharing it to his over 2 million followers. Not only did he share this image, but he also decided to write a long post about how the Lactose Lothario, himself, was so offended by Reese’s egregiously wicked response of sharing a video, in response to him saying she HATED someone who flagrantly fouled HER, but like, racism is still bad or whatever.

In his dumb ass post, which as of July 11 is still up, he wrote:

“There is no place for racism in this world. Whether you like a player or not. Angel Reese should never be called or depicted as a Monkey.

I have been quiet on the Angel Reese front because she shared a video that aided in my wife, kids, family, and friends receiving death threats, threats of physical harm to my family and friends, and threats of sexual violence to my children on social media and beyond.

That will never be okay with me. I never attacked her or her family when I stated and baked up with clear basketball evidence that Angel Reese hates Caitlin Clark. It’s sports. Everybody won’t like each other.

People in Angel’s inner circle called me and told me I was right and Angel Reese has grown to hate Caitlin Clark because of the media always asking her about Caitlin and being constantly compared to her.

Some people made it about race, but I never did and never will. Instead of becoming the villain in anyone’s story, I decided to just not.

All that being said, Angel Reese or any Black man or woman should never be called or depicted as a Monkey. Ever.

    Stop it.”

Saying that some people made it about race, but he never will, while rolling his neck, emulating Reese in a stereotypical way—as his white woman giggles in the background, whom he specifically dated because of her race—is certainly a choice. Part of the reason that Reese was harassed was because of Griffin painting her as a hateful person, so to then reiterate that sentiment, while condemning the same harassment it stoked, is indicative of an athlete whose helmet was unnecessary.

Ryan Clark previously spoke about the nuances of the interaction between the Griffins and Reese, after Griffin commented on her relationship with Caitlin Clark, about a month ago. Ryan explained why it was important for RG3 to understand the context of how he approached his critique of Reese. According to Ryan Clark, Griffin was not able to fairly critique Reese’s relationship with Caitlin Clark because he was not having conversations about what Black women endure with his Estonian wife, Grete, and that he had previously married a white woman. Griffin and Clark are former teammates; Clark also stated that Griffin often made jokes referring to white women as “milk,” and how much he, Griffin, loved it, and would make specific references to the color of his wife’s skin.

Having been so vocal about white women being supreme, it’s crazy how Griffin still leaves room to deny the effects of white supremacy.

Of course, the self-proclaimed milk lover was offended by Ryan’s statement, but clearly, he was right and still is, because Griffin again demonstrated how he isn’t qualified to have these conversations.

How in the entire fuck is his wife the victim in a racist post against a Black woman? How did he manage to center his wife, who was not even an innocent party in the original debacle, in a post where Reese was EXCLUSIVELY harmed? It had absolutely nothing to do with his wife, nothing. Somewhere in the midst of making interracial TikTok content, RGIII forgot that being Black was more than just fodder for fetishism or entertainment.

Griffin’s colorstruck existence allows him to deny that how he feels about Black women is also how the world feels about them; even when Black women are harmed, they are still in the wrong.
