On Thursday during a press conference, President Donald Trump announced that Israel will turn the Gaza Strip over to the U.S. following a frail ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Trump’s proposal for Gaza includes relocating Palestinians to Egypt and Jordan (two countries that are vehemently against this plan). The president even made a comment in a past interview about turning the region into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”
