There is currently no clear winner in several key battleground states, according to new polls.
According to CNN, Pennsylvania is currently tied with no reported margin wider than one while, in Michigan, Vice President Kamala Harris currently leads 48%-46%. Approximately 3% of support went to Republican Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who previously suspended his run. In North Carolina, Donald Trump leads by just 1 point, drawing in 49% of votes compared to Harris’ 48%.
Currently, 58.2 million Americans have cast their votes for the U.S. 2024 Presidential Election. The number of mail-in ballots sent in as part of early voting is nearly double the number sent in for the midterm elections and just 14 million less than those sent in for the 2020 election.
In battleground states like Georgia, Nevada and Michigan specifically, early voting submissions are breaking records previously set in the 2020 elections.
The majority of early voters are young voters, some of whom are voting for the first time. Last night, at a rally in Madison, Wisconsin, Harris addressed this demographic as thousands of students attended her campaign event.
“I see your power,” Harris said to the audience, per the Associated Press. “I’ve lived the promise of America and today I see the promise of America in all of you.”

The vice president’s latest campaign to win over battleground states will continue leading up to Election Day. After today’s events in Arizona, Nevada and Las Vegas, Harris will be heading to Milwaukee, where Trump will reportedly also be hosting a rally.
On Tuesday, she gave her closing speech at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. Speaking to the crowd, Harris affirmed her plans if elected and discussed her background in depth.
While also highlighting the dangers another Trump presidency can pose, she doubled up on support for expansive Medicare, support for reproductive rights and solutions based on compromise.
“This is not a candidate for president who is thinking about how to make your life better. This is someone who is unstable, obsessed with revenge, consumed with grievance, and out for unchecked power,” Harris said. “My presidency will be different because the challenges we face are different.”
“Our top priority as a nation four years ago was to end the pandemic and rescue the economy,” she added. “Now our biggest challenge is to lower costs, costs that were rising even before the pandemic, and that are still too high.”
