Following December’s conviction of actor Jonathan Majors for misdemeanor reckless assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, the British dancer is suing him a second time—this time, several new charges, alleging defamation, malicious prosecution, assault and battery in the Southern District of New York.
Jabbari claims the actor has disparaged her publicly since his conviction.
“When publicly confronted with Grace’s numerous allegations of abuse, Majors has called her a liar at every turn and very specifically claimed that he has never put his hands on a woman, with the goal of convincing the world that Grace is not a victim of domestic abuse but instead a crazy liar who should be treated as such,” the lawsuit reads.
Majors sat down in January for an interview with Good Morning America. He maintained his innocence and was unable to explain Jabbari’s visible injuries on the night of the incident.
“I wish to God I knew. That would give me clarity, that would give me some type of peace about it,” he explained. “I’m an athlete. I’m a sportsman. I know my body. I know how it moves. I know my strength, or lack thereof, you know? None of that was employed on her,” he said.

Jabbari also refers to an incident she says took place on Sept. 20, 2022, alleging Majors “pushed Grace so hard that it bruised her backside.” The lawsuit also alleges the Marvel star “picked Grace up in the air and threw her against the hood of her car” and “brought Grace back into their house and held his hands around her neck, stating that he wanted to kill her, and that he was going to kill her. Majors then started hitting Grace’s head against the marble floor while strangling her until she felt she could no longer breathe.”
Jabbari says Majors encouraged her not to seek out medical help, allegedly texting her, “They will ask you questions, and as I don’t think you actually protect us, it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something.”
According to Jabbari, Majors “has consistently engaged in an escalating pattern of abusive behavior towards women since as early as 2013.”
The text messages were read out in court during Majors’ trial.
“This is no surprise. Mr. Majors is preparing counterclaims against Ms. Jabbari,” Majors’ attorney Priya Chaudhry said in a statement via CNN.
