Former President Donald Trump may not have won the election but when it comes to popularity in hip-hop, Trump has many rappers as champions.

Snoop Dogg, Waka Flocka, Kodak Black, Benny the Butcher, Sexyy Red and Boosie Badazz are just a few of the names who have openly endorsed Trump.

In this clip, Karen Hunter and Clay Cane explore the reasons rappers love Trump.

    About Clay Cane

Clay Cane is an award-winning journalist, author, democratic strategist, and radio host. Clay is the creator and director of the original documentary Holler If You Hear Me: Black and Gay in the Church, which earned a 2016 GLAAD Media Award nomination for Outstanding Digital Journalism. In February 2016, the White House featured Clay Cane as a Black History Month speaker, along with a documentary screening. Cane was also presented in a panel discussion, which focused on the film, faith, sexuality, and the Black community. Clay is also the author of Live Through This: Surviving the Intersections of Sexuality, God, and Race, released in June 2017. In November 2017, The Clay Cane Show launched on SiriusXM Urban View channel 126, which tackles the most controversial topics in the country with thought leaders, politicians, activists, and celebrities. The Grift: The Downward Spiral of Black Republicans from the Party of Lincoln to the Cult of Trump, his second book, will be released on January 30, 2024.
