Jonathan Majors has reportedly parted with his talent manager Entertainment 360.
The news comes less than a month after the “Creed III” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” actor was arrested on charges of assault and harassment following a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman.
“The victim informed police she was assaulted,” a spokesperson for the NYPD said in a statement at the time. “Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”
The alleged victim, known to Majors and rumored to be his girlfriend, alleged that actor slapped her and strangled her. Majors was charged with several misdemeanor accounts of assault and harassment. His attorney, Priya Chaudhry, told the Los Angeles Times that her team obtained “two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”
However, Chaudhry’s subsequent release of text messages between Majors and the alleged victim failed to help the actor’s story, doing far more damage.
“We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently,” Chaudhry added. “This evidence includes video footage from the vehicle where this episode took place, witness testimony from the driver and others who both saw and heard the episode, and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”
The charges have not yet been dropped. Majors has remained tight-lipped as the drama unfolded around him, even after the U.S. Army discontinued its TV ad campaign featuring Majors, intended to target a more youthful audience. The Army Enterprise Marketing Office said the U.S. Army is “deeply concerned by the allegations surrounding his arrest.”
He is scheduled to appear in court on May 8.
