Michigan’s Blake Corum Continues Community Support Through NIL Funds

The Michigan Wolverines finished as the #2 seed in the College Football rankings, which means that players have a little time off before their Orange Bowl matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs.

For star running back Blake Corum, that means he gets more time to spend with his community.

Over Thanksgiving, Corum used his NIL earnings to buy and distribute turkeys to the community in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

A selfless act for a young man who values doing more for others than himself.

“I’ve always given back, whether it’s a football camp or small things,” said Corum to Angelique Chengelis of the Detroit News. “I’ve always invested in giving back to my community and trying to get the next generation to live out their dreams. Thanksgiving was coming along, NIL is going really good, and I told my Dad (James), ‘I’m going to buy 100 turkeys.’”

Two weeks later, Blake Corum is back in the community. This time at an event for children.

Partnering with the Detroit PAL, Corum spent an evening with kids at the Most Holy Trinity School reading books, speaking with the group, and playing basketball. At the end of the event, he bought them pizza using his NIL earnings.
