Vice President of Harlem Jet Sports and Youth Development, Jamel A. Wright, sits with Lurie to discuss the amazing institution that he is a part of. Learn about how this program can help empower the community, providing resources and support to enhance the quality of life through sport.

About Harlem Jet Sports and Development

At Harlem Jets Sports and Development, our mission is to empower the Harlem community by leveraging the unifying power of sports to foster academic success and personal development for two generations. With a focus on ninth-grade students, we recognize that this critical transitional period can significantly impact high school graduation rates. Through our innovative sports programs and mentorship initiatives, we aim to cultivate a supportive environment that nurtures not only athletic skills but also academic excellence, resilience, and life skills. By instilling a sense of belonging and purpose within our youth, we strive to create a pathway towards successful high school graduation, opening doors to a brighter future and empowering the next generation of Harlem’s leaders. Together, we envision a thriving community where sports become a catalyst for positive change and opportunities for all.
