The Global Majority Drops New “Say Less” Collection

Clothing line, The Global Majority, dropped their latest capsule “Say Less” on Monday. The brand, which is led by radio host Karen Hunter, highlights the phrase “Read More. Think More. Do More. Say Less!” in this drop’s advertising. This is very on brand for the company which aims to blend culture and consciousness in their designs.

This drop includes heavyweight unisex tees that have that trendy boxy fit with classic crew neck collars, allowing for comfortable mobility and giving off a retro vibe. The capsule also offers heavyweight hoodies and joggers (which are great to pair together for a sweatsuit), long sleeves, and women’s v-neck and scoop neck tees. All the heavyweight pieces are made with 100% ring spun cotton and the long sleeves and women’s tees are a cotton blend. All the items feature the “Say Less” phrase in a classic bubble letter font. The drop’s price ranges from $40-$115-making it pretty affordable for great quality pieces.

The catch-all term, “Say Less,” is a common phrase used in culture to signify understanding, agreement and more. The expression can usually end with a period as nothing else needs to be said after that-just understood.

The phrase can also be used as a statement to literally say less. Nowadays we live in an age of mass social media, technology and bureaucratic idiocy, and there always seems to be some type of chaos running amuck. It’s common for many of us to rush to post on our phones or argue back and forth with others to showcase our distaste for certain issues and injustices going on in the world, but what are we really doing to fix them?

The motto on the Urban View Channel is “Where Talk Empowers and Becomes Action.” Talk and action are synonymous with each other. There needs to be discourse, but what’s the point of it if we don’t then move accordingly to force the change we want to see? This drop inspires genuine wokeism as the message is clear: It’s time we #SayLess and do more.

The Global Majority brand recognizes that “minorities” are actually “the global majority” and we all have a lot more in common with each other in a society that wants to divide us. Its focus is to bring people together.

“The Global Majority is a brand that celebrates the power of us,” it highlights in their website’s ‘About Us’ section. “We stand for unity, our community and celebrating people and their ideas that inspire greatness.”
