Several major websites have been affected on Tuesday affected Amazon Web Services cloud servers failed to load, taking with it— vast portions of the internet.
Outages have been reported on platforms such as Disney Plus streaming, as well as games like “PUBG,” “League of Legends” and “Valorant”. There have been reports of accessing the company’s own services such as Amazon.com, as well as other Amazon products like the Alexa AI assistant, Kindle ebooks, Amazon Music, or Ring security cameras.
According to The Verge, Tinder, Roku, Coinbase, both Cash App and Venmo have also been affected, as well as streaming giants, Netflix and dating app, Tinder.
On its health service dashboard, AWS posted a message at 11:22 a.m. that the company is “investigating increased error rates for the AWS Management Console.
“We are experiencing API and console issues in the US-EAST-1 Region. We have identified root cause and we are actively working towards recovery.”
Downdetector, which showed there were more than 9,000 incidents of people reporting issues with Amazon. Some news outlets have also been affected.
The Atlanta Constitutional Journal posted the following message on its homepage: “Today’s major outage of Amazon Web Services has impacted ajc.com and newsletters you expect from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. This issue has affected businesses across our region and the East Coast. Our team is working on a solution to continue to deliver the news and information you rely on from us to keep you informed.”
