    DJ Akademiks Is Still Creepy

DJ Akademiks, real name Livingston Allen, is a 35-year-old professional stan who was booted off the popular streaming platform Twitch this week after he asked a 15-year-old boy sexually explicit questions. Even when the boy admonished DJ Akademiks for his line of questioning, the intellectually inept Akademiks continued to press the teen boy about potentially having sexual encounters, most specifically with adults.

This all comes as Livingston is dealing with an ongoing lawsuit filed last year by Ziya Abashe for his part in an alleged gang rape that occurred at his New Jersey residence in the summer of 2022. Part of the evidence used in the suit is a video clip where a woman (identified as Abashe) is heard screaming in distress in his home.

The ban appears to be permanent and hopefully will be a catalyst for other social media and streaming platforms to follow suit.

This is not the first time Akademiks has been creepy or has been removed from his position for his actions.

Two years ago, a clip of DJ Akademiks resurfaced from 8 years prior, when an approximately 25-year-old Akademiks was discussing having sex with minors. In the clip, he states, “And to keep it real, if you think about it in the bigger scheme of things, there’s not much difference between a 20 or a 17 or a 21 and a 17,” Akademiks said.

“Just kinda means one’s a minor and one’s not a minor. But listen, I will say I adopted this rule which I think is fine. I said, listen, as long as a chick got a college ID she’s getting f*cked. I don’t care if she 17, I don’t care if she 17 and a half, I don’t care if she just turned 17, she gon’ get this d*ck.”

I hate how these platforms wait until there’s huge backlash before they take action. DJ Akademiks literally said he would sleep with a 17 year old girl in 2022. https://t.co/ldITIVtqSE pic.twitter.com/xhORY3CSAZ

In 2022, he was suspended by Complex for his comments about Chrissy Teigen, which also included calling her a “b*tch” numerous times. This is a pattern for Allen, who was also fired from his position as a DJ during his time at Rutger’s University for playing the song “ASS, ASS, ASS” by Big Sean on the college’s public radio station. DJ

Akademiks has a history of either not knowing where the line is or just not giving a f*ck about crossing it, and people like him should not have a platform.

He shows that he has no regard for women or children, including joking about them being assaulted. Twitch’s decision to remove Akademiks comes just two weeks after he stated that Megan thee Stallion made a “horrific” career move by filing a restraining order against Tory Lanez—someone whom Akademiks has championed—specifically his acquittal… how poetic.

People like Akademiks contribute to fueling misogynoir and the nonchalant attitude many people have concerning sexual relations with minors.

    He is dangerous.

Imagine calling yourself Akademiks and being so utterly stupid.
