    NYC Cannabis Czar founder and author Dasheeda Dawson joins Lurie Daniel Favors to discuss where we are with the process of moving marijuana from Schedule One to Schedule Three.

    About Dasheeda Dawson

    Dasheeda Dawson is The WeedHead™, a global cannabis advocate, executive strategist and author. The WeedHead™ brand, originally planned as an effort to document Dasheeda’s experience as a Black business woman in the cannabis industry, has grown to encompass education, empowerment and e-commerce for professionals curious about and working in this field. Dasheeda wrote “How to Succeed in the Cannabis Industry” as a workbook for entrepreneurs, contractors and professionals looking to transition their skills into the legal cannabis industry. Her additional affiliations include chief strategy officer for Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM) and co-founder of Cannabis Education Advocacy Symposium & Expo (CEASE).

    Dasheeda has been featured in multiple outlets including a historic Times Square billboard campaign, Entrepreneur.com, the Huffington Post, Black Enterprise, and the Essence Festival. She has over 15 years of business development, strategic management and brand marketing experience and has lead teams for the United Way, Target Corporation, and Victoria’s Secret. Dasheeda received her master’s in business administration from Rutgers Business School with a dual focus in strategic management and marketing.
