Bryson Graham continues to be a man held in high esteem by NBA teams across the league, and now he’s landed in Chicago as the Bulls’ new EVP of Basketball Operations.

    — Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) May 4, 2026

Graham played collegiately at Texas A&M and began his sports business career as a basketball operations intern for the New Orleans Pelicans in 2010. A year later he became the team’s player development director and then held multiple roles with the team before being named assistant GM in 2019 and finally promoted as the Pelicans GM in 2024.

In 2025, after 15 years in New Orleans, Graham was hired by the Hawks as its SVP.

And now, a season later, Graham is headed north to Chicago as the team’s head of basketball operations.

“He has worked his way up through basketball operations from the ground level, and that experience has given him a deep understanding of how to build and sustain a successful organization,” said Bulls CEO Michael Resindorf in a statement. “He is an effective communicator, a disciplined and thoughtful decision-maker, and someone who truly connects with players and people. He understands today’s league, today’s players, and what it takes to develop talent and build a winning culture.”

According to ESPN, Graham beat out two other finalists- Detroit Pistons SVP Dennis Lindsey and Minnesota Timberwolves GM Matt Lloyd- for the job, a testament to his proven success in the 16 years he’s spent in the NBA.

Graham, 39, replaces Arturas Karnisovas, who was the Bulls’ president of basketball operations for six years before being fired at the conclusion of the 2025-26 regular season.

While he has some good assets to work with, including two first round picks in this year’s NBA Draft and $60 million in cap space, Graham has a lot of work to do as the team finished at 31-51 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight year.
