On March 21st, Diverse Representation will host its annual Sports Agent Bootcamp event for individuals who are interested in pursuing careers as professional sports agents.

The all-day event takes place at the Buckhead Club in Atlanta, and will feature a number of panel conversations, fireside chats and interactive workshops with agents and executives from companies such as Octagon, Wasserman, WME Sports, NFL Players Association (NFLPA), and more.

This year’s event features speakers representing athletes from the NBA, NFL, the Olympics, NASCAR and more.

“Our annual Sports Agent Bootcamp is working to ensure that the diversity of players we see on the field and on the court is also reflected in the agents that represent them,” says Jaia Thomas, founder and CEO of Diverse Representation. “While we’ve seen an uptick in the number of Black agents in recent years, we still have a long way to go. Our Sports Agent Bootcamp aims to close the gap and continue creating the next generation of Black agents in every league and every sport.”

Some of the sessions at the 2026 event include:

Recruiting and Retaining Clients: Speakers will discuss various recruiting methods used to attract and retain professional athletes as clients.

Understanding Player Contracts: This session will provide an overview of player contracts and key terms ranging from salaries, bonus structure, extensions, and more.

Building an Athlete’s Brand: Learn about the inner workings of building an athlete’s brand. Speakers will share how athletes and brands connect to create a wide range of revenue and marketing opportunities, such as endorsements, appearances, and successful partnerships.

Launching and Sustaining a Sports Agency: This session will lay the groundwork for starting your own sports agency. The session will cover core concepts such as understanding the agency market, office management, client relations, and more.

This is a must-attend event for those interested in becoming a sports agent, so don’t miss out.

For event and registration information, visit the Sports Agent Bootcamp website.
