Last week we learned that Hall of Famers Shaquille O’Neal was named President of Basketball for Reebok and Allen Iverson was the brand’s Vice President, and the two have wasted no time in making big moves.

Shaq announced that Reebok signed LSU star Angel Reese to a multi-year endorsement deal, giving the brand major superstar power as they begin their re-introduction to basketball.

“For my first appointment in this role, it had to be the GOAT,” said her fellow LSU Tiger, O’Neal. “There is no one making a bigger impact on the game right now than Angel Reese.”

Reese punctuated an incredible season this past April by beating Caitlin Clark and Iowa in the National Championship game, giving LSU its first Women’s basketball title. Since then, she’s been on a tear with appearances, awards and almost $2 million in NIL deals.

Now she becomes a key part of Reebok’s relaunch.

“I am honored to be working closely with one of my longtime mentors, Shaq, along with a brand that I have admired since I was just a little kid,” said Angel Reese. “It means the world to me that they trust in me to extend their legacy to a new generation.”

Reese’s contribution will start with “Angel’s Picks,” which features the star’s curated picks. Next fall/winter, Reebok will launch Angel’s own collection. The two will also partner in initiatives to benefit her Angel C Reese Foundation, which helps young girls with resources and access to sports.

Angel has been very active with her charitable efforts. In August, she donated $12,000 to her high school, St. Frances Academy in Maryland, to cover one year’s tuition for a player on the girl’s basketball team. It was her way of giving back, as Reese was able to attend high school through the same type of scholarship offer.

“I always wanted to create the “Angel Reese scholarship” at St. Frances,” posted Reese on social media. “I wanted to pay one of the girls on the team’s scholarship for the whole year every year. I wanted to help the little catholic school across the street from a jail in Baltimore that made me ME & I DID THAT.”

She did that and now she’ll be doing more of that as one of the primary faces for Reebok.
