    B. Simone Can’t B. a Good Friend

    B. Simone is an enigma; she clearly has a dedicated following and people who like her. Hell, she has 4.1 million followers on the clock app, and 5.7 million on Instagram, but just as she has a dedicated fan base, she has people on the internet who find her to be incessantly intolerable and consistently off the mark.

In a recent clip from her podcast, “Let’s Try This Again,” she sits down with a young woman named Shakinah, who discusses her celebrity best friend. In the clip, the woman details some of the financial hardships she has had, and that having a celebrity best friend does not exempt her from financial difficulties. She went on to explain that last year, she was living with her parents, jobless and a single mother whose car had been repossessed. As the woman further detailed her hardships, B. Simone could only chime in with a “Jesus,” almost as if she were just learning about this woman’s misfortunes.

The woman’s friend is ultimately revealed to be B. Simone herself.

The woman noted that it was hard seeing B. Simone help others out financially, while she struggled, but that it was ultimately her responsibility and cross to bear. While the clip does not show whether she states that she made bad financial decisions that caused B. Simone to not help her, many are questioning why a millionaire would allow her best friend to flounder, especially while helping others and especially someone who is currently on a ‘spiritual journey,’ which includes ministering to other women.

In another clip, B. even describes how she’s bought houses and paid for divorces.

How can you help people you don’t know or know as well, while your ‘best’ friend struggles?

This is not the first time B. Simone’s friendships have been fodder for public scrutiny. In 2023, B. Simone and her former podcast co-host, Megan Ashley, experienced a major friendship breakup after 20 years, prompting B. Simone to launch her own podcast, “Let’s Try This Again.” In the promo for her new podcast,

    B. Simone is seen removing an empty chair, as if to remove Ashley from her life—BOOOOOO. She has also had public friendship breakups with radio and TV personality Brii Reneé and actress and alleged scammer Ernestine Johnson, citing her life choices and sobriety as the reasons, with both Brii and Ernestine disagreeing.

    B. Simone has been plagued by many social media controversies, including plagiarizing an entire self-help book, (or rather helping herself to all of its content), leading a Christian conference in booty shorts and a blazer, GRIFT and then turning around and doing an interview with DaBaby in her bed, while obviously flirting, after having been very vocal about celibacy prior to the interview, it’s all just a mess.

Her message and her friendships seem extremely inconsistent. Many have accused her of being male-centered and a pick me, but clearly she’s not picking the right things if she keeps having these battles.

She preaches self-love, and that’s clear she’s got that covered, but does she have the capacity to love anyone outside of herself?
