After running her own namesake fashion label for 12 years, famed fashion designer Carly Cushnie has, at last, turned her creative vision toward home decor.

The award-winning couturier has launched her first furniture collection, highlighting her incredible talent, unique artistic principles and value system.

An endeavor Cushnie describes as “a long time coming,” the new collection features 11 carefully curated pieces in collaboration with interior labels Lulu and Georgia. It is a genuine reflection of the same commitment to elegance and sophistication that was characterized by her highly acclaimed ready-to-wear clothing lines.

Cushnie, a London native, explains that her approach to designing furniture mirrors her fashion work – emphasizing clean lines, bold shapes and a modern sensibility. Each item in the collection is designed not just to serve a functional purpose but also to enhance the overall aesthetic of any space.

“I’ve been manifesting this collection, so I was ready,” says Cushnie in an Instagram video. “In designing clothing, I love playing with the juxtaposition of designs that feel both tailored and fluid all at once, mixing unexpected materials, and creating unique lines and shapes and this naturally translated into the way I approach furniture. Always balancing the raw and the refined.”

Cushnie’s line is a seamless blend of modern and eclectic styles that perfectly separates itself from the crowd. It features rounded, curved shapes and cozy materials that can make any living quarter feel inviting. Some of her standout pieces include accent chairs with fringed boucle fabric and ‘90s-inspired marble dining and coffee tables that bring a retro vibe. A rich rose-colored couch and cane wood benches and chairs round out the assortment, offering a mix of comfort, nostalgia and elegance.

“My family is Jamaican and I was born and raised in London and there’s an innate eclectic quirkiness that comes with being British,” continues Cushnie in the video post. “My husband is Mexican and we spend a lot of time there, so for a long time I’ve been inspired by Mexico’s architecture. All of these rich cultural references as well as my own childhood home have informed this collection.”

“Drawn to eclectic design, Carly wanted each piece to feel as though it was collected over time,” reads the capsule’s introduction on Lulu and Georgia’s website. “A mix of textures and materials across the collection ensures the styles can sit well together and apart.‌”

Prices start at $298 for affordable options and can go up to $3,998 for more luxurious pieces.
