This week, Senate Republicans squabbled with a federal judge who voiced concerns about the transparency of a 2011 ethics review of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas during a judiciary subcommittee hearing. Thomas has faced heavy scrutiny over recent weeks following ProPublica’s exposé into his close relationship with Republican mega-donor Harlan Crow.
