Black and Missing Foundation, Audiochuck Launch $50k Fellowship and Scholarship Program

The Black and Missing Foundation (BAMFI) has joined forces with Audiochuck to sponsor a communication and law enforcement fellowship and scholarship program.

The Fellowship is open to communications majors that will spend a semester working in the BAMFI public relations department, while the scholarship is available to students pursuing a major or minor in criminal justice.

The partnership will support the next generation of communication and criminal justice leaders for the 2023 spring and fall semesters.

“Persons of color make up 40 percent of the missing population in the United States,” Natalie and Derrica Wilson, founders of BAMFI, said in a statement. “It’s a sad fact that the media and law enforcement take some cases less seriously than others. We want to change that, and it includes the next generation of decision makers/leaders in media and law enforcement.”

Students may apply for the Fellowship or scholarship beginning Sept. 19 at blackandmissinginc.com/audiochuck.

Ashley Flowers, founder and CEO of audiochuck, recently established the nonprofit Season of Justice to continue her efforts of raising awareness of solving cold cases by providing financial resources to law enforcement agencies and families.

The recipients will be announced on Wednesday, November 16, 2022.
