Summary: Carter proved why many consider him to be one of the most underrated rookies in the 2018 class. Carter hinted before the draft that he wasn’t able to display all of his talents at Duke—but the Vegas Summer League proved to be a perfect place to show his versatility. Carter’s inside-out game flourished in the more wide open NBA style of play. His interior defense and post play should make for a great frontcourt pairing with Chicago’s second-year sensation Lauri Markkanen.
