SiriusXM Urban View host Karen Hunter addressed President Donald Trump’s controversial ICE raids and the fatal shooting of Renee Good, whose life was ended by an ICE agent during a federal immigration operation in Minneapolis.

“It’s clear at any point in time he can deploy people to any place that he wants to deploy them because the Supreme Court gave him king power,” Hunter said, arguing that elections have consequences. “Voting mattered in 2016 as well when y’all didn’t want to vote for that lady. Voted for Jill Stein, sat home. Here we are.”

Hunter played remarks from Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, who told federal agents, “To ICE, get the f–k out of Minneapolis. We do not want you here,” warning that “families are being ripped apart” and residents are being “terrorized.” Frey blamed ICE for escalating danger after the shooting and urged the agency to leave.

Hunter’s frustration only grew. “They are imbued with the power to apparently kill people and do whatever they want while masked. So, we don’t even know who these people are,” she said, questioning whether the shooter would ever face accountability. “There’s nobody that can make them stop or leave but the president. But he started this. So what’s the recourse?”

Since returning to office, Trump has pushed for expanded interior enforcement and workplace raids and sought a sweeping deportation campaign- his rhetoric playing heavily into the fears of his MAGA base.

Hunter urged listeners to think strategically about resistance. “What can we do? That’s an honest question that I’m asking,” she said. “There’s a helplessness, and it’s very, very, very scary.”
